  1. Marinate the chicken in the spices for an hour.
  2. Mix the self-rising flour and cornflour in a bowl.
  3. Beat egg separately and pour into mixture. Mix well. If the mixture looks very thick, add in a tablespoon of water.
  4. Heat oil. Dip each chicken fillet into the mixture and then into the cornflakes+chips mixture.
  5. Deep fry to a golden brown.
