  1. Preheat the oven to 180C (350F).
  2. Grind the almond to a powder.
  3. Mix cocoa and softened butter in a bowl until creamy.
  4. In a separate bowl mix the flour and baking powder.
  5. In a third bowl beat the eggs and sugar.
  6. Add the egg mixture to the butter mix and mix.
  7. Add the dry ingredients (flour mix and almonds) and mix until you get a smooth batter. Do not over beat.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan, cover with almonds chunks, and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Cool on a wire rack.

 

Note

  • If you like your nuts chunky, don’t grind into a fine powder.
